| Bacup and Waterfoot together with its neighbouring towns of Rawtenstall, Haslingden and Whitworth is nestled in the Rossendale Valley amongst picturesque fells and rugged moorlands.
Most of Rossendale has links with the motorway network, with Rawtenstall served directly by the M66 and the Haslingden bypass linked to the M65, bringing it within 20 minutes travelling time from Manchester City Centre. Manchester Airport, which serves many international destinations, can be reached in approximately 40 minutes travelling time.
These improved communications make Rossendale an attractive proposition for the Manchester commuter. Rossendale also has good road links with adjacent areas of Lancashire and Yorkshire via the M62, M65 and M66.
